MUSIC VIDEO ANALYSIS Alessia Cara - Not Today https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0jMPXRDYpkQ The music video begins with a close up shot of the artist herself. She is seen with smudged makeup and quite messy hair with a vacant look on her face. Her appearance however contrasts wit her surroundings which quite bright and colourful. As we zoom out we see that she is wearing a full grey suit which seems to be quite big on her and is quite scruffy which you can see from the tie. Again the background seems to be well lit and has alot of bright colours , the song is about being happy in the future and perhaps the way the house is furnished and lit could represent hope. As the video continues we see her taking on day to day activities feeling this same emotion which we can assume from the smudged makeup, she is trying to live her life day to day, trying to feel happy.    Throughout the video we can see her visibly sad and showing her true emotions however ...
